Relocation of Companies and Specialists

 

• Thanks to the Cyprus_iT ecosystem I created, as well as the materials and information I published, dozens of companies decided to relocate to Cyprus.

• This attracted hundreds of qualified specialists who not only became taxpayers but also contributed to the development of Cypriot business and economy.

• Many of them relocated with their families, which positively impacted the social and economic environment of the island.

Job Creation and HR Infrastructure Development

• I created the largest Cypriot IT HR resource, which became the biggest in the European Union. This resource provides a platform for job searching and finding IT specialists, where hundreds of vacancies and resumes are published monthly.
• Thanks to this resource, many people found work in Cyprus, and companies were able to fill key positions, ensuring sustainable growth of their business.

These efforts contributed to creating numerous jobs in Cyprus, increased the competitiveness of local businesses, and strengthened the country's reputation as an IT hub for global talent.

Cyprus_iT Ecosystem

 

• I actively develop the Cyprus_iT ecosystem, which unites IT specialists, entrepreneurs, and companies, helping them not only build business connections but also adapt to life in Cyprus.

• The ecosystem includes weekly informal meetings for Digital company specialists. Over 7.5 years, more than 370 events were organized, gathering more than 34'000 visits from over 8'000 unique guests from more than 2'900 companies.

• Based on these events, the Cyprus_iT online community was created, uniting more than 139'000 participants. It is among the world's largest Digital communities and is likely the biggest in the European Union, providing access to specialized IT resources in Cyprus.

Significance for Social Integration:

• The Cyprus_iT ecosystem has become an important tool for social integration of specialists and their families, helping them adapt more quickly to life on the island, establish new connections, and feel part of the local community.

• The platforms and meetings provide participants with access to current information about the job market, employment conditions, and immigration procedures, simplifying the relocation and adaptation process.

• Events and online resources help companies not only find highly qualified specialists but also strengthen Cyprus's position as a center of attraction for IT talents.

Support for the Venture Community and Startup Ecosystem Development

• I launched the CY Venture project, which helps startups and entrepreneurs find investors, mentors, and business partners.

• The CY Venture platform publishes information about startups at different development stages and connects them with potential investors.

• The platform has hosted more than 200 projects that received over 400 investor inquiries and conducted 120 introductions. As a result, more than 10 startups were able to secure investments and necessary contacts for further growth.
 

• I am a partner of ICLUB Cyprus, a venture club launched by Victoria Tigipko and TA Ventures fund, which actively invests in promising startups.

• My participation in ICLUB Cyprus allows me to help local startups find resources for growth and promotes Cyprus as a venture capital center.

• My article about Cyprus's venture potential, published in 2020, was highly appreciated by the Deputy Ministry Of Research, Innovation And Digital Policy (DMRID), highlighting the significance of my contribution to the development of the Cypriot startup ecosystem.

My venture capital initiatives not only help startups develop but also strengthen Cyprus's reputation as a promising hub for innovation and investment. These projects attract international investors' attention, contribute to the technology sector's development, and create additional business opportunities on the island.

Mobile Games and Applications Advertising Agency

Before creating the Cyprus_iT ecosystem, I founded a mobile games and applications advertising agency in Cyprus. The agency promoted products globally and collaborated with the world's largest advertising and media companies, including representatives from China, Israel, USA, Russia, Germany, UK, France, and other countries.

Our agency gained wide recognition in the professional community and became a significant player in the international mobile advertising market, contributing to Cyprus's recognition as a technological and business platform. The agency developed advertising campaigns for major brands and helped companies from different parts of the world successfully promote their products.

Over time, the project was closed due to market changes and internal disagreements, however, even then our agency was positioned as "#1 Mobile Agency on Cyprus," which confirms its contribution to creating an innovative image of the country.

Collaboration with TechIsland

​

• I am a partner and advisor to TechIsland — Cyprus's leading non-profit IT association, which actively contributes to transforming the island into a technology hub and interacts with the government to attract new companies and talents.

• In 2023, I was nominated for the prestigious TechIsland Award in the Cyprus IT Ambassador category and became one of three finalists alongside significant participants such as Reflect and Quadcode.

Contribution During the COVID-19 Pandemic

​

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I created and developed for two years the Russian-language CY COVID-19 resources, which became one of the key information tools for Cyprus residents and visitors. These resources provided significant support both at individual and societal levels, contributing to effective dissemination of current information and reducing social tension among the Russian-speaking community:

 

• CY COVID-19 News Telegram channel — more than 6'000 publications on statistics, measures and their explanations, arrival rules, tests, vaccination, documents, and other important information. At its peak, the channel's audience exceeded 12'000 subscribers. The channel had a web mirror — covid.cy website, which provided access to information even outside the Telegram platform.

• Online testing points map covidmap.cy — daily manual updates of information about testing points' locations and schedules, helping thousands of people quickly find the nearest points and reducing the load on medical infrastructure.

• CY-COVID News radio broadcasts — conducted more than 50 episodes on Russian Radio Cyprus, explaining new measures, providing useful instructions, and answering listeners' questions live.
• Answering questions in CY COVID-19 chat — provided more than 24'000 answers to individual user inquiries, helping Russian-speaking residents and their families navigate the complex situation and receive prompt assistance.

 

These initiatives received wide recognition among the Russian-speaking community in Cyprus and beyond. The resources provided access to timely, reliable, and structured information during the crisis, which became invaluable support for thousands of families, specialists, and organizations. People's feedback noted the uniqueness and usefulness of this project, which became an important resource for adaptation and social stability on the island.

Speeches and Publications

My contribution to the development of the Cypriot IT ecosystem includes active participation in professional conferences and forums as a speaker and expert. I shared experience and knowledge about Cyprus's advantages for company relocation, technology sector development, and IT community creation.
 

Some of the significant events where I spoke:

• Cyprus IT Forum 2018 – an international forum uniting technology sector leaders. I presented initiatives contributing to the development of the Cypriot IT ecosystem and attracting specialists to the island.

• BEST LEGAL Conference 2018 – a professional platform for discussing legal issues and business regulation, where we talked about the benefits of IT companies for Cyprus, creating new jobs, and the economic contribution of the technology sector to the country's development.

• Cyprus IT Forum 2019 – one of the key annual events for the technology and business community. I gave a presentation about the development of the Cyprus_iT ecosystem and its role in creating a comfortable environment for IT specialists and companies.

• Cyprus Quality Conference 2019 – an event aimed at improving the quality of business processes and products. During the conference, I shared experience in creating high-quality IT platforms and professional community in Cyprus.

• Linq Conference 2021 – a conference for IT specialists where I talked about Cyprus_iT as a platform for networking, experience exchange, and attracting international companies to the Cypriot business space.

• WebSummit 2019 – I represented the Cypriot project on the main opening stage, which helped promote the country as a center of technological innovation on the international arena.

My conference speeches drew attention to Cyprus as a promising technology center, contributed to growing interest from international business, and strengthened the country's reputation as a favorable place for IT activities and investments.

Publications and Interviews
In addition to event participation, I prepared several articles about company relocation to Cyprus, business processes, advantages of Cypriot jurisdiction, and opportunities for startups.

• My step-by-step guide on opening a company in Cyprus received more than 30'000 views and became a practical guide for entrepreneurs planning to start their business on the island.

• Articles with my interviews and stories about the Cyprus_iT ecosystem were published in leading international media:

• I also participated in major bloggers' video projects, where I talked about life in Cyprus, its business advantages, and IT ecosystem development.
These materials attracted wide audience attention and highlighted Cyprus's prospects for relocation and investment.
 

This activity strengthened Cyprus's position in the international arena as an attractive center for IT business and startups, demonstrating broad opportunities for growth and development in the country.
